Installation of the front brake disk guard
In this article we will briefly tell you how easy it is to install the MayakLab front brake disk guard.
Installation of a brake disk guard on an enduro motorcycle
The installation of the guard will not take up much of your time and does not require any special tools.
Front brake disk guard installation steps: 1. Buy a Front Brake Disc Guard from our MayakLab online store. 2. Remove the front wheel. 3. Remove the original spacer. In its place, put our spacer, which is included in the set with the guard. 4. Put the wheel back on. Place the guard on the axle between the wheel and the fork leg. 5. Tighten the axle nuts to the correct torque.
To remove the wheel, you will need wrenches or tire levers, which can be purchased in our MayakLab online store, specifically for your model of motorcycle.
Remove the original spacer. If necessary, perform a complete overhaul of the hub, replacing bearings and oil seals (repair kits can also be purchased from us).
Replace the original spacer with the MayakLab spacer that comes with the guard. It is slightly shorter than the original.
After changing the spacer, begin assembly in reverse order. Take the axle and slide it into the hub. On the side of the brake disk between the wheel and the fork leg, place a guard on the axle. The MayakLab logo on the guard should be on the outside. Turn the guard on the axle as far back as possible so that it rests on the brake caliper. Push the axle further in and secure with nuts.
That's it, your guard is installed. It weighs less than 300g, which is the minimum weight possible without compromising its strength. It is made from durable 7075T6 alloy.
